During Holy Week, my family and I took a trip to Cebu. It was a four day trip with my family, the Porcallas and Kaela and Keene. We had such a blast during those four days and we went home with proof of it (my sunburn is still so dark!).
Our flight was at 4am. Yes, 4am! I've learned that it's not a good idea to cry yourself to sleep at night when you have to see people early the next day.
We got to Cebu at around 6 am, had breakfast and arrived at the hotel at 9. We stayed in Imperial Palace. It's a hotel with ginormous swimming pools and huge slides that suited our needs. We figured that since we have nothing to do anyway and we'll only be staying for a day in the hotel, we should get a head start on the swimming.

Our favorite was probably the slides. Here's a photo of us on the stairs we climbed a hundred times!
Here, I stole a photo of the slides from Google!
Everyone started out with the white slide. It's the least terrifying. It's just an open white slide with a lot of curves. Then we upgraded to the green slide. It's faster than the white slide. The best part is when you enter the enclosed part where it's pitch black and then suddenly it's like a disco up in there with all the colorful lights! We didn't plan on trying the red slide, because it looked terrifying, but we all dared each other so it happened. You're sitting there at the top and then the guard pushes you and the next thing you know, you're inside a round toilet (that red and white striped round thing is what I am talking about). You're just going around the sides of the toilet and slowly going down like a piece of poop being flushed and then you exit through the hole and land on a deep little pool. I landed on my back and swore never to try it again!
After we all got tired from the pool activities, we decided to retire to our room before having dinner. This is the view from our room: day and night.

We had dinner at AA BBQ that night. My family loooooves seafood and grilled everything. The next day, we had a buffet breakfast at the hotel. Man, were we stuffed! Mom especially loved all the Korean food they had. After wards, we had goodbye poolside drinks before checking out.
We bid adieu to Imperial Palace and headed to Plantation Bay. Plantation Bay is such a beautiful place. I had so much fun when I stayed there 5 years ago and I wish I could go back! It still looks as beautiful as ever after all those years.
After Plantation Bay, we met up with our Lee cousins. We went to their house and had dinner there. We played a bunch of board games and one really hilarious one where we were verbally abused through a TV screen. After that, we just took off, because the next day would require all of our energy! We went snorkeling and island hopping.
I despise activities that require my hair getting rough and fishes grazing my body. I'd rather go to museums and historical spots. It was still pretty nice to have lunch in the island.
That night, we had dinner at TOPS. It's this place in Cebu which is very very high up. We could see the view of the whole island from there. We had dinner on the tables inside. The kids played Monopoly afterwards. We just spent the night catching up and when it was getting too cold, we headed to Starbucks.
We had to leave the next day, but not before visiting historical landmarks and going to the mall. We had dinner again with the Lee cousins before going to the airport.
It was a wonderful few days and I cannot wait to go back.
