Colour

One thing I have noticed is the odd colored hair. It started out in editorials on high fashion magazines and now it has made its way onto mainstream. I know of people who put these odd colored streaks in their hair. What used to be a sign of rebellion and punk rock, now is being adopted by all fashionistas!

If I had the balls and the looks to back it up, I would love to do the same to my hair. Sadly, Asian features don`t do well with unnatural hair colors. So here are some photos to just inspire.

Ms. Hayley Williams. The first girl to make me want to dye my hair a crazy color!
Ms. Audrey Kitching! Still working the hair even after "scene" is over.
Ms. Abbey Lee in an editorial
Thora Birch in Ghost World when green hair was punk rock.
Miley donning a doable version. Light hair with darker streaks at the bottom. I might just try this out.
Gemma Ward`s hair in Vogue goes from dark at the roots to light purple at the tips.

So what color will you be sporting? :)

Real life blogging:

I typed that ten minutes ago, and nothing of importance or even of interest has popped into my head. My life is sad.

I did go to a party last Saturday. It was a friend, Trishka Puno`s 18th. It was held in Enderun, The Fort.
Joane, Tina, Trishka, I, Czar

I had fun, because I got to see my girls and I got to get all dolled up (a far cry from my lazy, yet well thought out everyday school outfits). We finally caught up with each other after the longest time, specially since they used to be really busy with School Elections. It was fun!
I went home early though since the parents were feeling very clingy (they wanted me home because I had been away for a week).

Pretty much it!

Just 19, Dream Obscene

Enough of all this fashion bznz. Let`s listen to music!

After re-watching Cruel Intentions for the first time since I was like 10 (What were my parents doing at the time that I was able to watch such a fucked up movie?), I fell in love with the opening credits song. Thanks to Google, it took me five seconds to find out what it was and who sang it. Every You, Ever My by Placebo has been one of my Most Played songs ever since. Naturally, I would check out other songs from the band.

I`ve known about Placebo since probably the seventh grade, but I never really got around to listen to them, because back then I was more into the "in" music like Black Eyed Peas and Beyonce.

And then during my Freshman year, I went into this sappy heartbroken shit phase where I listened to Secondhand Serenade and all those other bands I`ve forgotten. Also I was obsessed with My Chemical Romance. Hah! In my defense, that was right before they released The Black Parade. I stopped listening after that. That year was not a total musical embarrassment. I got into Muse that year, and I still love them until now.

Then came Sophomore Year where I delved into screamo scene phase. Oh my god, I don`t even. I`m thankful I didn`t dress like an over-the-top scene kid. At the time, I was seriously considering dying a section of my hair hot pink or electric blue. That would have brought on a ton of lols for the future. Coupled with my love for screamo was Taylor Swift songs. Back then, it felt like she wrote all her songs based on my life experiences. I still listen to some of the music I listened to back then, but I don`t have that style anymore. Thank God.

Third year was just retarded. I don`t even want to remember that shit. Brokencyde and 3OH!3 and Millionares. Sweet baby Jeebus! Just typing it all on here makes me cringe like a motherfucker. Well, it wasn`t all complete utter shit. I listened to MGMT back then and I still love them until now.

The my Senior Year was probably when I stopped with the ridikkulus "phase" music and my taste matured. I listen to the same music I did last year and I guess that`s a good sign.

So back to Placebo (Wow, my teacher was right. I do go off topic a lot). I spent one whole night last week just youtube-ing their songs and listening to them made me so emotional (no crying and shit, but just felt really emotional). His voice is just so piercing. I was surprised I didn`t listen to them earlier in my emo-kid phase. HAHAHA! My current favorites are Every You, Every Me , Meds, and Special Needs.
If you haven`t listened to them yet, I highly suggest it!

I`ll be fine once I get it; I`ll be good.

Listening to: pursuit of Happiness Steve Aoki Remix

While on my quest for the perfect dress for a "Material Girl" themed party, I stumbled upon a few online stores. Knowing that everything there would be light years away from my budget (that plus the bitch that is shipping fees), I checked it out anyway hoping I could find something my dressmaker could replicate.

First is StyleStalker
I was practically drooling over this wonderful dress from Denni
Sadly, I couldn`t find it on their website. They probably ran out of stock. What girls with $200 (I`m not entirely sure how much it costs, but along that price range) wouldn`t grab the chance to purchase this dress?

Here are a bunch of other fabulous clothes from StyleStalker that I wish I owned (and would be able to rock. These styles call for a slim figure!)

Then I went to Pixie Market
If we all died and went to Hipster Heaven, we`d all be probably wearing clothes from here.

Let`s not forget the all time favorite: Nasty Gal
You know how I love everything lace!
And I`m obviously drawn to clothes that use this mesh material.

Pigs will learn to fly before I could afford all this junk, but a girl can dream. xx
