Hello, lovelies! It's a Monday today and I just got back from a birthday date from Megamall with one of my college besties, Eleita! She turned 18 today and we shopped to celebrate! All my energy has been drained, but I wanted to post my Paris Fashion Week favorites since I wasn't able to last week (I left my laptop at the dorm while I was at home).
I do like Louis Vuitton's FW collection, but I am not in love with it. I like the peter pan collars, because that's a trend I am currently in love with! What I still don't understand, though, is the shape of the shoulders and sleeves. I remember seeing it in last season's Prada and was just baffled as to how people thought it was pretty. I think it makes you look bigger. Other than that, I like almost everything else!
Alexander McQueen was a collection I was excited for, but I think I expected too much and that caused the disappointment I felt (disappointment feels like too strong a word for what I felt, but I can't be bothered to open a thesaurus right now). I really like the white gowns (Burton practicing for a 'royal wedding', perhaps?), but the black dresses seem a bit too forced for me. But I still like what Sarah Burton is doing with McQueen.
I like pretty dresses so I liked Collette Dinnigan! I don't really need to explain this. I like lace and intricate details so this was a sure winner!
I adored Valentino this season, much more than I adored their recent Haute Couture. All the clothes are distinctly Valentino. I love all the burnt rose colored lace! Also, that green coat is TDF! Valentino is still doing the neck accessory they did during Haute Couture. I loathed it, but I'm not hating it right now. Without all the butterflies, it actually looks nice.
Emanuel Ungaro reaffirmed that animal sweaters are actually cool. The dresses are really cool too and very sexy. The middle dress is my favorite because it's so sexy.
Giambattista Valli showed one of my favorite collections this season! For some reason, I am so attracted to shiny clothes! I think what I thought was really nice about this collection us the unexpected pop of neon in the otherwise monochromatic looks.
I think I should stop here and continue tomorrow! It would be one extremely long post. Paris has shown such captivating collections this season that it's not right to cramo them all up in one entry. Until tomorrow! xx
I'm adding you to my favorite bloggers:D
